Butterfly Creek was inspired by my recent trip to New Zealand where I grew up, and brings together magic moments of first love, nostalgia and feelings of being a young teenager.

This song was inspired by my recent trip to New Zealand where I grew up, where Feijoa Trees were a staple in almost every backyard including my own. Feijoa Tree is an indie rock song about childhood and nostalgia, exploring an old creek that was near my house.

Music Influence
My music strings together my Australian-Kiwi heritage with urban bohemianism and echoes the intergalactic sphere of Bowie and Empire of the Sun, with songful melodies that trace back to The Beatles, all of which dominate my influences.
Teaching Music
I'm really passionate about teaching and coaching music, where I specialise in piano, saxophone and guitar
Awards
I was grateful to be awarded 1st place in the QMTA, ‘2021 Composers Competition’ in the Instrumental Composition Open Juniors category with my piano composition ‘Heroes Journey’, as well as the Dulcie Holland Memorial Award as part of this competition.
I also was a winner (1st place) in the ASME Queensland ‘Young Composers Competition’ (2021) Songwriting category for my original song ‘Deep City’.
